Artist statement: This artwork was inspired by the artist Crystal Morey. I connect with her work on a conceptual level as she deals with our human connection with the natural world and how we deal with issues that plague our environment. I am interested in the human/animal hybrid form and how we try to create links to our animal ancestry.
