Artist statement: I was heavily influenced by Henri Cartier-Bresson a French photographer in the 20th century. I really admired the simplicity of his work and love black and white photos. I wanted to highlight basic compositional techniques in this piece. The bold contrast highlights the symmetry and balance. I really want people to be drawn into the frame with the lines of the train car capturing your eye and directing it around the image.
