Artist statement: This artwork captures the delicacies of human nature and the beauty of sight. What we see defines who we are, and the way we see things contributes to how we act. This drawing of my eye, caught in a daydream, expresses my emotional complexity and vulnerability through an intense wistful gaze. The reflections of the eye lashes in my iris represent the quirky side of my personality in contrast to the literal exterior me, like they are a reflection of my personality.
