Light in the Dark

Artist statement: When we contemplate ‘a light in the dark’ we think of happiness or hope in a bad situation. My photograph represents this with specks of light on my face in a dark room using black and white tones. This photograph was taken in isolation while working at home due to Covid-19. I used this opportunity to experiment with lighting effects to create light in the dark. With everything that has happened in 2020, I feel like this photograph can represent hope for us all.
