Medium: Lino print and watercolour (unique state)

Artist statement: My artwork gives off a colourful and playful energy. The bright, warm colours of the flowers pop against the blue background. I carved lino to create a printing plate with which I produced a series of black ink prints. On one of these, I added washes of watercolour to create the effect I was going for – including deliberate water marks. My simple message behind this artwork is that you should be your own version of yourself. As you can see after looking at the print closely, all of the flowers and leaves have some kind of flaw, but together they work in harmony and create a radiant artwork.
